Wolfseule is no tree-hugger, she hugs only power-poles and embraces the possibilities they give to us (up to the point of suffocating them). This actually not-so-holy mass for electricity is celebrated with 7/4 rhythms, lots of obnoxiousness, and total musical anarchy. Handle it like every ritualized process: don’t start thinking about the point of it all. There is none, and also absolutely no point to tell you that. It would be just awkward, like your little sisters new boyfriend at
family-dinner, wondering, if he should tell the daddy, that he has a pea sticking just above his eyebrow. Anything else important you need to know? Oh, yes: my back-lit keyboard DOES glow brighter than your lover’s eyes (that applies to everyone).

Stockhausen once said, the most beautiful thing he heard in his life, was the motorway behind his house. Too bad he’s already dead, maybe he would have changed his mind after hearing this exquisite noise, carefully put together by selected artists to celebrate the notoriously underrated Release No.15…
featuring: Joris J, massju, Wolfseule, MitHra, helico bacter, All Things=, Toxic Chicken and more!

Ladies and Gentlemen: take out your pipes and black turtlenecks, because: Here comes Jazz! It has this special ring, which good Jazz always has: of exciting coolness and of passion, which is not concealed, but utterly shaped
and led by structure. Well, yeah, TECHNICALLY that record consists of tender broken beats, but its surely best to be enjoyed in a dark cellar club with velvet-hangings, dim lanterns on the table and a selection of good wines. And, oddly enough, additionally to that, it also sounds relaxed enough to pass as a summer-album.

7 tracks of crazy lo-fi-lectro flop made in the days that the computer didn’t die of a virus, and there where still synthesizers around. (They are all sold, stolen or captured by aliens now!) Recorded just on time to capture the Raw-ness for extreme energy pleasures! Perfect food if you need to clean up, go to your horrible job, demolish a local supermarket or to accompany you by making love with a hyper active rabbit.
Toxic chicken is a project of multimedia anarchist Kai Nobuko. Collector of garbage (not the band, but the real thing!),
pancake eater, and local madman. Toxic Chicken gigs involved food, pie throwing, dumb puppets, smashing up laptops,
megaphones, and a not-playing-metal-band! Many microphones survived, so much more didn’t! Dare to be chicken, very pock!

I know, I’ve got a tendency for big words, but anyway…In a better world, this could be a classic. This album has a calm,
bit gloomy air about it, without stressing either point. Listening to it feels like a significant thought, drifting in an insignificant environment (which is NOT the music, just to be clear about that), like watching children, you don’t care
about, playing… Being locked up in yourself, knowing, there’s stuff going on, you don’t need to know about. Actually quite comfy. It’s not trying to reach out, it just sucks in. The beats are broken and the structures are complex, but it all „fits“. The beats are put together carefully, safely set into place. Best served on a grey day, with a cup of hot tea and a big window to stare out.

Org hits our soft spot, so this is a mellow piece of electronic bits. Sometimes it’s just time to relax your brain and listen to sounds dripping in your ear, melting away softly. Sometimes records are just like people: it’s easier to get along with them, if they are less demanding. Which is great, but we like to demand, you don’t get away so easily. This is why massju and Wolfseule put two songs of Org into their shredders and turned them into really strenuous pieces of electric noise. So check your demands, this release covers a wide range.

This basically is the process of hard thinking transformed into music. Its highly abstract, its complex, without being offensively stressfull. Its not the musician coming up to you in the tube annoying you with happy tunes, its more like your
flatmate sitting in the kitchen doing math-homework. You can see, or hear, in this case, that theres something highly complicated and fascinating going on and once you took a step closer, youre hooked. Those incredibly fast and as well as highly constructed beats are free of any connection to any practicalities, which gives them a space on their own, free to enter for anyone, who has got the guts to do so.

Spring is coming up, at least here in our mid-european base, and Mithra sends us a reminder, that winter is not too bad
alltogether. Imagine two (or more) squirrels making out in a wintery park, hopping about in the snowed-in trees and bushes, sending icy waves of joy and enjoyment, squeaking through fluffy broken beats „Catch me, if you can!“ It’s an easy game. One klick, and you have won!

You don’t need to be prepared for this: just plunge in. It’s like a fairytale told by Angela Carter: colours in all shapes and shades of darkness, perfectly closed form to open up some doors ,very beautiful and frightening and – having that said- also in all it’s beauty the tiniest bit obscene. It’s a story of an ending battle and the hero is already on his or her way home, when he (or she) meets this little braided girl in a white dress, hiding a knife behind her back, staring at him/her. Seemingly calm, slow movements, piano and strings and then, the real battle begins. Well, don’t be too put off by this silly text, one could also say, that it’s one of the greatest paperless books you will never be able to buy. But download, obviously.
